Ms. Hurley has been in private practice for 36 years. Previously she clerked for Honorable Calvin C. Campbell, Appellate Court Justice, 1st District Illinois. She provides legal and business consulting services on business, commercial real estate and arts and entertainment legal issues. Services are provided on both an outside general counsel basis as well as on a project basis.  Projects span the world including North America, Canada, South America, England, Germany, Japan and Hong Kong.  She served as a Hearing Officer with the City of Chicago Park District and an arbitrator with the Cook County Arbitration Program. Ms. Hurley has written numerous articles and more recently co-written and edited a Chapter on Illinois law for an Aspen Publications book for the international community.  She served as Co-Chairman of the Entertainment and Arts Committee for the Chicago Bar Association.

After the E-2 disaster,  she organized the first non-lawyer Seminar sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association. The Seminar was for the Chicago Entertainment Community on Venue Safety and was attended by event production companies, including JAM and Joe Shanahan, major entertainment and cultural venues, including the Chicago Museum of Modern Art and entertainers.  She has spoken frequently at Columbia College and elsewhere on a variety of business and entertainment topics. She was recently named an Illinois Super Lawyer in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Super Lawyers Publication and was also featured in an article on The Top Women Attorneys in Illinois in the October, 2013 issue of Chicago Magazine.
